Putin offers Naryshkin to head Foreign Intelligence Service
MOSCOW, Sep 22 (PRIME) -- Russian President Vladimir Putin has offered Sergei Naryshkin, speaker of outgoing State Duma, the parliament’s lower house, to head the Foreign Intelligence Service, spokesman Dmitry Peskov said on Thursday.
The relevant decree will be signed in the near future, he said.
Mikhail Fradkov, who has been the head of the Foreign Intelligence Service since 2007, will be nominated as chairman of Russian Railways’ board of directors, Peskov also said.
